Greg McKenzie, a New York pianist, encompasses a unique blend of intelligence, creativity, commitment, and leadership qualities that generate worldwide recognition as an international pianist and director. His ability to organize and conduct international shows and concerts have been an admired achievement since graduating from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music.
He has embraced the music industry for more than three decades and now anticipating a "new revolution." "The way we listen, dance, acquire, and record music has dramatically changed over the years. As a Jazz educator for two decades he also coordinates performances worldwide. Recording with many refined musicians including saxophonist Sadao Watanabe has inspired McKenzie to continue writing original compositions and arrangements. Since leaving Rainbow & Stars in New York City, many goals have been accomplished including, president of FingerNail Moon, Inc. This company is producing Chamber Jazz Concerts (C jC ), and Off-Broadway shows for international travel. After opening for many distinguished singers and celebrities McKenzie states, "there is a desperate need to showcase talent globally, and it is inspirational to orchestrate our ambitions and intelligence through live performance."
While producing shows, Greg will continue to perform as a soloist and with ensembles. Future bookings will continue throughout North America, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
